Our client had a double wide trailer that was lost in the Black Forest fire. They received an insurance settlement however it was modest which meant the construction budget was the same. We designed and built a 980 sqft ranch with an unfinished walk out basement. This is a small home but a great place to live with cathedral ceilings, open floor plan, lots of glass and a rustic style. The client has since put in some sweat equity and finished the basement himself. This doubled the size making the home just under 2000 sqft, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a great room and rec room. Who says modest homes cannot be inspiring?
