Wells Addition – Add a Story
Our client contacted us to enlarge and update there home in historic Colorado springs. The home had two very small bedrooms, one bath in need of a complete replacement, small kitchen that was also the laundry room.
Our solution was to remove the roof and add a second floor. The second floor contained three bedrooms, and two baths. All bedrooms had interesting ceiling angles and plenty of light. We went with a cathedral ceiling and round glass in the master to take advantage of the Pikes Peak view. On the main level we left the family room and one bedroom in tact. All other areas were demolished and reconfigured. We added space for a large laundry room outside the area of the existing house. In addition to the new kitchen and bath we replaced all windows and exterior door as well as all electric drywall interior doors and trim. This almost 70 year old home now looks brand new and has a modern floor-plan.
